4.Jajnici are therefore stimulated by injections of the hormone FSH, which is the same hormone that the brain creates the female in order to stimulate the ovaries each month to produce and release an egg. However, higher levels of FSH are injected, but they are usually produced in the brain, and this is in order to cause the ovaries to produce multiple eggs.

5 Testing jajnika.Klinici regularly check the number and maturity of the eggs that are produced. These are contained in a fluid-filled structures called follicles, and it is these that are detected by ultrasound. It is normal to have about four ultrasound examinations before the eggs are deemed ready. At this stage the woman is given an injection of HCG (human chronic gonadotropin) in the late evening or early morning. This is the final impetus to the eggs mature before the next stage.

6 Collection of eggs. About 36 to 40 hours after injection of HCG, ovulation occurs, a clinic aimed at removing the eggs just before it happens. This is done using ultrazvuka.Endokrinologa used very well, hollow needle, which has passed through ultrasound investigation directly in the follicles of the ovaries, so that eggs can be easily sucked out. The patient may be sedated in order to prevent any inconvenience. The process usually takes no more than 15 to 20 minutes, plus an hour or so in the recovery room.

7 Semen collection. At around the same time the male partner is required to provide a semen sample. Typically, facilities are provided to the clinic.
