costume safety and comfort

if you do, buy or borrow a baby's first costume and the most important thing to consider is the baby's comfort and safety. Be aware that the suit should not be too tight or binding, especially around the neck. The baby will have a good Halloween if his or her movements are restricted, or if he or she is too hot. If you choose to use a costume from head to ensure that they do not squeeze the baby's head. Many babies and infants do not like what the head so that the head can be pulled off during the holiday season or even before. In addition, we recommend that you do not use a mask in the baby's ensemble because it could be dangerous or to minimize panic baby. If you decide to put face paint on a child, use non-toxic paint to ensure that your baby's delicate skin is protected, as well as prevent the baby from ingesting something toxic (the color may run when baby sweats, or the baby may be able to lick him off about his or mouth).

Other important things to consider

during - this is usually getting a cold or a little warm on Halloween time in which you live? If you have your heart set on a summer-type costume for your child and it will be cold where you live be sure to bring your heavy coat and a layer of baby items like legwarmers (which can be placed on the child's hands or feet for warmth), gloves, socks and shoes or boots. If your baby will tolerate a hat then consider matching Beanie winter type, or any other cap that covers the baby's head and ears.

type of event that will see it - If you will be going to a pumpkin patch or other external events into account what the outside temperature is likely to be. However, if you will attend the celebration closed and it's cold outside you can be sure to remove all layers of the child's costume when you come inside, so baby stays warm on the trip to and fro, but it was comfortable inside the event.

other people's costumes - As you probably know, children and infants can get upset easily. If you go to an event where adults and teens will be in costume, or if you plan to go trick-or-treating, it is important to realize that babies can get scared. Some adult costumes can be very intimidating, even for the child's parents, so it is important to bear in mind that you May have to change your plans if your child does not enjoy the festivities. Some babies will not be able to handle situations like this at all so try to assess what kind of case you feel your baby is ready for the plan.

Halloween Fun Ideas Activities

throw a Halloween Party

Have a Halloween party and invite your friends, family and their children,. When you host your party, your baby can enjoy the Halloween festivities right at home with people he or she is already familiar with. At your house you will have more control over what the baby is exposed, such as some costumes (you can ask guests to remove the scary masks and the like when the baby around most guests probably will not mind, because their intention is not likely to scare little babies!) you have a small set, or go all out and make cute invitations, decorations, food, drinks, games and favors. Just make sure that all decorations and games have small pieces that your baby can get a hold of. There are many sites that offer a great Halloween party ideas, so have fun with it and start planning!

Community Organized Events

is sometimes planned Halloween events at local churches, schools, malls, museums, fire houses, zoos and YMCAs. In some cities there are even Halloween parades and carnivals. It is important to do some research on each case, the first to see if it would be something that you think your child or children will be able to handle and hopefully enjoy. Many of these events will have a lot of other children who attend so she can have fun watching the kids play games and do activities (and it's even better if you have an older child, because they can participate, and the baby looks). You can usually find a good list of events in your local paper or online by searching "Halloween Events for Children in ______," and added his own city in the blank.

Pumpkin Patches

Pumpkin patches are a good place to have a baby or child for Halloween! Children will love looking at all the pumpkins and watching the older kids do not hayride, corn maze, face painting, miniature train, pony rides and other activities on offer. Many pumpkin patches also have farm animals around which children tend to enjoy watching and in some cases petting. As with other activities do not forget to bring a jacket and extra clothes for the baby if it's cold in October

Trick-or-treat (if you dare!)

Many parents who have older children decide to make a child along for the ride, while others choose to take your child trick-or-treating to show off their cute costume and be social. In any case, it is important to remember that your baby can not handle the older children can, and so is his or her limit will probably come a lot sooner than other children, especially if he or she gets scared. If you as a family, be sure to have a "back-up plan" in case the child gets tired or scared as a parent taking a baby home, and another room with other children who want to keep trick-or-treating. It is also highly recommended that the child only on the houses of family or friends to avoid potential scares. Some people enjoy their home as a costume designer and as scary as it is possible to trick or treaters, and while the older child might think that it is "cool" baby or child will probably not!

This Halloween our daughter will be 11 months out and we are excited about picking out just the right costume for her event. Whatever you decide to do with your child, do not forget your camera and your childlike wonder. We wish you a happy and safe Halloween!

Transition Tricks: Going Smoothly from Point A to Point B

You're at home, running, with only five minutes left, if you do it in the last half of the games group. You still have to get your kids shoes, get them into their car seats, and drive through the city. Urgently invite you to their child that it is time to go. What have you heard? "No mom, I do not want to go I want to stay home!" If you've finally managed to get out of the house, you'll probably find yourself in the same battle-honed hour later, when it is time to return home for lunch.

As any parent of a child who knows, transitions are one of the biggest challenges, but inevitably, parts of the day. Shortly after our cute little baby master the essential skills you need to walk and talk, irresistible need to make their decisions begin to surface. Although this is an exciting time, we run into trouble when our children realize that the only way to make their own decisions is the first to disagree with everything you have to say. Now when you ask them to do something, even if it is to eat ice cream, it is very likely to refuse!

Creativity is essential parenting skills. Parents can guide their children's transitions and have a peaceful, productive, and nonconfrontational day using some "tricks" below:

Sing the song - Singing for the initiation and the transition is especially helpful for young children. By being consistent and using the same song for the selected activity your child will learn that these songs are clues to what comes next. We all know the "Clean Up" song, about how "It's the way we put on our shoes" or "If you're ready and you know it, stand near the door!"

offered a choice of - Children are much more willing to cooperate if they feel like they have some control over the process. Bring two pairs of shoes through your child and say. "It is time to put your shoes Would you wear your sneakers or your sandals I wonder which ones will you choose?". (Keep the choices to two.)

Use humor and / or a little reverse psychology - If your child is at first refused to put on her shoes, put them on your hands and walk, dance, or run them near him. Use a silly voice and say: "You can not catch me! I do not want to go on foot! No, No, NO!" You will definitely have their attention, and he will most likely grab the game off your hands and quickly to his feet.

Look at - Talk about what comes next. One client told me that after I suggested this technique it has never had another problem with getting her child to go somewhere fun. Her son immediately got up to go home when he tells them that their dog is missing. She reminds him that he needs her help to refresh your dog's water bowl and take him for walks. Think about things your child likes to do at home, watering plants, setting the table, playing with playdough,. All that your child gets excited about it as soon as

Good luck and remember to enjoy this special time with your child because it goes by too fast. If all else fails, play groups can always wait until next week!
